History of sexually transmitted diseases, multiple sex partners, early sexual activity puts one at an increased risk of this cancer.


Abnormal vaginal bleeding, abnormal pelvic pain, heavy unusual discharge are the common symptoms.


Regular pap test decreases your chance of developing cervical cancer by manifold. Cervical cancer can be prevented by giving vaccination to girls between 11 to 45 years of age.
